This is the same old beech that you know and love only this is the offcuts from when it has been milled down to a certain profile and kiln dried. Still puts out great head but it easier to get going due to the size of each piece.

Southland Beech is a native Hardwood timber extracted from sustainably managed FSC (Forestry Stewardship Certified) Southland Beech Forests. Our associate company Lindsay and Dixon Ltd (www.lindix.co.nz), harvests and mills the Beech Forests.

Native Beech is perfect for burning as a heat source. Once the moisture level is below 25%, Beech becomes very repellent against water and moisture in the air, which means it’s easier to maintain and keep dry throughout the cold winter months.

It burns long and hot with very little sparks, ideal for users who rely on wood fires as their main heating source.
