Firewood

Sawn Pine timber is dried in a kiln to reduce the moisture content to 12%. The timber is then cut to length as required by the sawmill’s clients. The off-cuts are what we call "Pine Block"

Pine Blocks burn quickly because of the dryness of the wood, for this reason they are great for getting your fire going. However, we don't recommend only burning these blocks, for best results and heat you should switch to a hardwood once the fire is going such as Beech

Please note, that our Pine Block wood is a mixture of different size profiles cut to random lengths. Sizes vary from four inches in length and two inches in width to twelve inches in length and six inches in width.

Please inform us if you would prefer delivery on a dry day as this is an extremely absorbent wood and will retain moisture if exposed to the rain.
